What personal information do you collect and how do you use it?
We collect information about and individual, such as their full name, e-mail address, group's name, and mailing address during the sign-up process for a UMYF.net website. We collect this information through the use of forms on the web as well as any information submitted to UMYF.net through e-mail. We also collect this information through the online account management feature at http://support.umyf.net. We use this contact information to verify that a request is authentic and that the request is legitimately for a youth group. We also use this information in contacting the member after the initial registration process.
How do I 'opt-out' of mailings from UMYF.net?
As we are a non-profit organization and periodically send out informational notices to our members, as well as requests for contributions, we do not offer a way for a member to "opt-out" of future mailings. For more information about this policy please send an e-mail to our Member Services department.
What about information I submit to sites listed on individual websites?
UMYF.net exercises no control whatsoever over the information submitted to individual websites that we at UMYF.net host. If you have any questions about information submitted to a specific website, please contact that website's web contact.
Who do you share personal information with?
We at UMYF.net participate in no third-party advertising. Therefore, all information that you submit to UMYF.net will not be shared with any organization outside of the UMYF.net network. The UMYF.net network refers to any website that is operated by Nextwind Communications, the management company of the UMYF.net service.
What information do you collect from children?
We do no knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children, those under the age of thirteen (13). We do not accept registrations from those under thirteen years of age. If a member request for a child to be given an e-mail address at UMYF.net, we will require a signed consent form from the child's parents or guardians prior to activating the e-mail address.
What about my IP address? What is that and do you use it?
An IP address is the address by which your computer is known on the Internet. Our logging facilities at UMYF.net record you IP address whenever you visit a UMYF.net webpage. We do not share this information with other parties and use your IP address in creating statistical reports for the UMYF.net service as a whole. We do not track an individuals usage of the UMYF.net service.
